after much deliberation, I've decided not to completely abandon HE, but it will no longer be such a focal point of my life.  I have a lot of things I need to straighten out and my writing is one of them.  another aspect of my descision is that few actually care about this project anyway, and since posting on DA hasn't really done anything I've decided to stop posting here.  If you are still interested in the project, send me a note with an email adress I can reach you at and I will send updates whenever I complete them, which will be fairly rarely unless things improve massively.

I'd like to thank those of you who read sincerely for your time and feedback, and to those who read out of courtesy that you no longer have to pretend to care.  I always knew who really cared about the project and who didn't.  I'd like to thank the former and simply ignore the latter, since they no longer have any obligation to me, or I to them.
